11) Horse-back-riding tourism: Terra del Sole and Predappio

1st day: Morning arrival at a ranch in Terra del Sole.
Lunch at the inn.
Afternoon open to activities offered at the ranch (horse-back-riding, mountain-biking).
Dinner based on the farm’s produce and local products.
Overnight stay.
2nd day: Breakfast at the inn and tour of Predappio, Mussolini’s hometown. Possible cheese-tasting visit to an organic dairy farm.

Dinner at the inn, which serves traditional cuisine of Tuscan Romagna based on truffles and mushrooms. Overnight stay.
2nd day: Breakfast at the inn and optional excursion to the Visitor’s Center at the Casentinesi Forest Mount Faltrina and Campigna National Park in San Benedetto in Alpe, dedicated to the “History of Tuscan Romagna”. Those who do not wish to on the excursion can enjoy the leisure activities at the inn (horse-back-riding, hiking).

Optional excursion to the Mount Busca Volcano (Italy’s smallest volcano).

1st day: Afternoon arrival in Tredozio, a town on the border between Tuscany and Romagna, just outside the Casentinesi Forest National Park. Stop at the Visitor’s Center dedicated to “roe deer” and the mountainous landscape of the National Park. Optional tour of Palazzo Fantini, which contains a magnificent Italian-style garden and a small Museum of Farming Civilization.
Transfer to Modigliana and check-in at a local country inn.
Dinner and overnight stay at the inn.
2nd day: Breakfast at the inn and excursion to the Visitor’s Center in Santa Sofia, dedicated to the forest. Optional excursion to the Valbonella Botanical Gardens, and trekking in Corniolo and Isola.
Open lunch.
Return to the inn in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay.
3rd day: Departure after breakfast.
